TDL Half‑Lap Jointing Machine
Rapid, tear‑free half‑laps for perfect glazing‑bar cassettes.
Why Choose the TDL?
Built for uncompromising joint strength and speed:
One‑Pass Half‑Lap Perfection – Three high‑speed spindles cut the V‑notches and the half‑depth cross‑cut in a single cycle, delivering crisp, interlocking joints every time.
No Profile Tear‑Out – Workpiece is milled on all three sides while firmly clamped, eliminating grain breakout on fully profiled bars.
Self‑Centred Accuracy – Adjustable self‑centring clamp aligns material automatically, so every joint sits dead‑centre without manual adjustment.
Foot‑Pedal Efficiency – Pneumatic clamps engage and the cycle starts with one tap, boosting throughput and operator safety.
Ideal for: Traditional & simulated divided light (TDL/SDL) bars • decorative cabinet grids • timber window grilles
How it works
Load & Align – Operator slides the bar along the flip‑stop into the self‑centring clamp.
Clamp & Start – Foot‑pedal activates two pneumatic hold‑downs and begins the machining sequence.
Dual 45° V‑Notches – Twin 24,000 rpm spindles plunge to cut opposing V‑notches.
Half‑Depth Cross‑Cut – A third spindle traverses across the bar at exactly 50 % depth to complete the lap.
Auto‑Return – Heads retract and table returns to start, ready for the next bar.
