Framing Underpinner
The Copenstick PIN and base station has been developed to speed up the assembly of glazing bar cassettes for pre-finished timber windows and doors, the mitred corners of the cassettes are simply nailed together from the underside with the touch of a foot pedal leaving no trace of the special fixing on the face side of the finished frame.
The base station has been constructed with a specially designed beading magazines to accommodate up to 12 sets of timber perimeter glazing bead and adjustable extension tables to stabilise longer profiles, these features will significantly aid the operator when assembling the mitred frames, all of the parts for each perimeter bead frame can be placed into one of the twelve racks ready for nailing and assembly.
The position of the nails across the joint can be easily selected by using two sliding stops that can be fixed into the desired position by tightening a thumbscrew, there is a 90° fence to guide the beads during the nailing operation, once the beads are held against the fence it can be moved to one of the stops, the operator will now make the fixing using the special nails and then move to the next stop to fix the final nail.
