Single End Milling

The Copenstick SEM has been introduced to the range as the single end-miller go to machine for connecting the external plant-on bars to the bevel moulding on the perimeter of casements, sashes and doors.

Ready profiled material and glazing bar sections can be simply held in place during the operation with our specially designed clamp, the main characteristics of this machine are the two high-speed milling spindles fitted with ER25 collets and a height adjustment of 90mm, the motors rotate in opposite directions resulting in a perfect tear-free end-scribe/tenon, The SEM has been fitted with a third motor which is employed to cut the groove needed to take a dowel fixing.

Single scribe tooling can be quickly set with the use of a digital mechanical readout, if you have multiple scribe tools there is no need for any tool changes as the machine can be fitted with stacked tooling allowing for several scribes to be fitted on the tooling shafts making for a very versatile set-up, all tooling for the SEM machine will be designed in the inverted position, using inverted tooling is what allows the SEM to cut a groove into the end of the workpiece.
